Support MTC & Bring Us To THE NEXT LEVEL!

THE MTC TEAM: Alex Mongillo (Administrative Manager), Kevin Connors (Co-Founder & Exec. Artistic Director), and Jim Schilling (Co-Founder & Managing Director)

Music Theatre of Connecticut (MTC), Fairfield County’s leading non-profit performing arts organization, is thrilled to share the continued progress of our renovation and expansion, an ambitious transformation of our theatre at 509 Westport Avenue in Norwalk, CT.

Originally announced in early 2024, this project marks a major milestone in MTC’s growth. The expanded facility in Phase 1 will include a brand-new Cabaret Theatre, a more spacious lobby and box office, and Phase 2 will include first-floor dressing rooms, additional rehearsal and classroom space, improved costume and scenic shops, and enhanced administrative offices.

While construction for Phase 1 was initially projected for completion by early 2025, delays related to permitting, contractor scheduling, and design refinement have shifted our timeline. Phase One is now expected to be completed by late summer 2025.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we successfully reached our original leadership contributions goal of $150,000. However, with rising construction costs, extended pre-construction needs, and a significant rent increase due to our expanded footprint, we have increased our fundraising goal.

We now seek an additional $75,000 in leadership support to:

  • Cover updated architectural and engineering fees

  • Manage extended carrying costs and permitting

  • Complete essential fit-out elements such as lighting, sound, and furnishings

Join us in this once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of live theatre in our region. Thank you for being part of MTC’s journey. With your support, our next chapter begins.
