Testimonials

I am proud to say that I am a product of MTC’s College Bound program. I could not have chosen a better foundation for my skills in theatre. Kevin Connors is invaluable in not only his teaching, but also in his connections, support and guidance. I would not be where I am today without the College Bound program.
— Mia Gentile, BFA Music Theatre, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music University of Cincinnati, Currently appearing on Broadway in "Kinky Boots"
Auditioning and applying for Musical Theatre BFA programs can be really confusing because each school does things differently and each has their own unique set of requirements. The priceless lessons of the MTC College Bound Program provided the basis for my entire college search and audition process.
— Justin Paul, University of Michigan, BFA Musical Theatre Grad, Academy Award Winner, Tony Award Winner, Jonathan Larson Award-Winner
Megan had been involved in the theater arts for many years, but when she decided to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre for her college major, we were stumped. Although we’d been through the college admissions process with our two older children, we were at a loss regarding the critical success factors for this major. Luckily, Megan had been attending classes at MTC and we heard about their college prep course. It was a real eye opener. Kevin provided a detailed description of the audition process and what Megan would need to do to be fully prepared and confident for her auditions. MTC provided great insights about the various college programs their particular audition expectations. Also, because Kevin and Jimmy knew Megan from her class work at MTC, they helped her select the right songs and monologues to capitalize on her strengths and highlight her personality. They then coached her to ensure she was ready and confident come audition time.
— Doug and Marjorie Watt, Parents of Megan Watt, BFA Musical Theatre, Ithaca College
MTC and its college program was one of the best things that has ever happened to me and that I could be a part of. Kevin and Jim helped me select material that was unique to me and my voice, type, and personality and it showed with the results. I got accepted to my top schools and I never would have thought in a million years that I would get accepted to them. I also got accepted to both BFA Musical Theater and BFA Acting conservatory programs. I have loved spending every minute with them. There were plenty of rejections that come along with this business and life, and they were there for me every step of the way. Whether it was a confidence booster and pushing me to go further, they have helped me out of my lowest of lows to get to the highest of highs I did not see fit to achieve. Not only are Kevin and Jim people I respect as teachers, but also as friends. They were caring and committed to ensure my success and I don’t know if I would have had the success that I did, if they were not by my side. I walked into MTC with low self-esteem, low confidence, and an unrefined technique. A few years later I walk out with my head up high, and ready to face the challenges that will I will endure in the future thanks to the MTC college process that I was honored to be a part of.
— Matthew Greenberg, BFA Musical Theatre, Ithaca College
