About

An evocative tale of two men – one, a doctor, passionate and romantic; the other, a terrifying madman – and two women – one, beautiful and trusting; the other, beautiful and trusting only herself both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret. A devoted man of science, Dr. Henry Jekyll is driven to find a chemical breakthrough that can solve some of mankind's most challenging medical dilemmas. Rebuffed by the powers that be, he decides to make himself the subject of his own experimental treatments, accidentally unleashing his inner demons along with the man that the world would come to know as Mr. Hyde.The epic struggle between good and evil comes to life on stage in the musical phenomenon, based on the classic story and featuring a thrilling score of pop rock hits.

DONALD E. BIRELY (Sir Danvers Carew) is thrilled to be returning to MTC where he played Juan Peron in their critically acclaimed production of Evita. He has toured the states in Beauty and the Beast, Carousel, Oklahoma and Annie .  Favorite roles include Nicely Nicely , Albin (ZaZa) and Sancho. Mr Birely was part of the NY premier of Yeston/Kopits Phantom and can be heard on the BMG/ RCA recording . He is the founder of DB Productions -- a costume rental in Ossining,NY

ELISSA DeMARIA (Lucy Harrisreturns to MTC after previously appearing in A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Show, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Show, Next to Normal (Natalie), and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey - CCC nomination, best actress). Other credits include The Marvelous Wonderettes (Swing) at Pittsburgh CLO, Shout!: The Mod Musical (Red Girl) on Norwegian Cruise Lines, Seussical: The Musical (Gertrude) at STONC as well as many others. Elissa has a BFA from Point Park University. @eee.lissa

CHRIS CARDOZZA (Simon StrideChristian is thrilled to be making his MTC debut in Jekyll & Hyde! A Connecticut native, he has performed in numerous local productions, most recently as Clopin in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Other past performances include Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Che in Evita, Marius in Les Miserables and Billy Bigelow in Carousel.

KIRSTI CARNAHAN (Lady Beaconsfield) is delighted to return for her 4th MTC production, having appeared in The Bridges of Madison County, Gypsy, and (MTC’s 1stseason!) The Great American Backstage Musical. On Broadway/National Tour: Kiss of the Spider Woman (Marta), King David, Baby, The Three Musketeers, Les Miserables, Cats, and Annie. Regional/Stock: Mamma Mia! (Donna), Driving Miss Daisy (Daisy), Pete ‘n’ Keely (Keely), The Bikinis (Annie), Hairspray (Velma), Hello, Dolly! (Dolly), Mame (Vera Charles), Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett: NHPTA, Best Actress in a Musical), Doubt (Sister Aloysius), and many more. A proud member of AEA since 1983, Kirsti is grateful for professional theatre right here at home in Fairfield County!

SEAN HAYDEN (Gabriel John Utterson) is delighted to return to MTC having appeared last season as Robert Kincaid in The Bridges of Madison County.  This summer he played Sam in Mamma Mia! with Flat Rock Playhouse in North Carolina.   He appeared in the Broadway national tours of Lincoln Center’s The Light In The Piazza and with Mamma Mia! and Off Broadway in Confidentially, Cole.  Favorite regional roles include Lancelot in Camelot with Sacramento Music Circus; Dan in Next to Normal with Charleston Stage; Billy Bigelow in Carousel;  Joseph Pitt in Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Anthony in Outside Mullingar at Hudson Stage Company.  Prior to moving to New York, his classical work included principal roles with the Dallas Shakespeare Festival and Ft. Worth Shakespeare in the Park.

ALEXANDRA IMBROSCI-VIERA (Nellie/Woman 1) Alex is excited to make her MTC debut! She last appeared as Maria in West Side Story at SummerStage Leonia. Select regional: WPPAC (Hunchback of Notre Dame, Junie B. in Jingle..., West Side Story), Redhouse Arts Center (Joe Iconis’ The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks), Geva Theatre Center (A Christmas Carol), Finger Lakes Opera (Carmen).  Many thanks to this amazing cast/creative team and to mom and dad for their love and support. Top of the mountain!

CARISSA MASSARO (Emma Carew) Carissa is so excited to be a part of J&H! Broadway: Jane Eyre the Musical (Young Jane u/s) Regional favorites include: The Fantasticks (Luisa)/ CT Circle Nominee for Best Leading Actress in a Musical,  Vanya Sonia Masha and Spike (Nina) , Evita (The Mistress) all at the Music Theatre of CT, The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Kit) at The Muny and Fiddler on the Roof (Chava) at STAGES St. Louis. She was most recently seen as Francine in the Regional Premiere of "Jersey Boys" at The Muny.

PETE MCCLUNG (Sir Archibald Proops/Poole) Peter is thrilled to be back at MTC after performing here in both " GYPSY" and " Little Shop of Horrors" . He comes here directly from The Fulton Theatre's acclaimed production of " The Hunchback of Notre Dame" . He will be at The Fulton again this fall/winter in their production of " 42 Street " . Peter has performed at numerous regional theaters to include The John Engeman, The Fulton, Maine State Theatre, Fords Theatre, Arena Stage, and The Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row in NYC.

LOU URSONE (Bishop Of Basingstoke) Thrilled to be back at MTC! Previously seen here as Mushnick in Little Shop and Hucklebee in The Fantasticks.  Favorite roles: Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, (Kweskin Theatre  & Downtown Cabaret), John Adams in 1776 (Kweskin Theatre, Ocean State Theatre, DAC),  The Duke in Big River (STONC). He has also played in many Mulberry Street productions, including the musical version he wrote: A Merry Mulberry Street Musical. He has performed at Goodspeed, toured extensively and has appeared in numerous films, industrial films, commercials and television, including a recurring role on ABC-TV’s Loving. He also appeared on Ryan’s HopeAll My ChildrenOne Life to Livewith additional principal work on Rescue 911 and Unsolved Mysteries. Lou was recognized as Connecticut Arts Administrator of the Year in 2008 as Executive Director of Curtain Call, Inc.
